ABOUT
THE ARTIST:
Roberta
Lee Woods is a Santa Cruz based artist inspired by nature and its many
layers of color and texture. She received a B.FA.at The Maryland Institute,
College of Art in Baltimore, MD. She creates the mood and atmosphere of
the ocean she resides near. Recent travel to Holland and the Czech Republic
has led to series of both paintings and photography capturing old world
light and texture.
She has been inpired
by Dutch Masters such as Vermeer and Rembrandt, as well as more contemporary
artists: Marc Rothko, Joseph Cornell, and Helen Frankenther.
